Exchange, Return & Refund policy
At PromDressUniverse.com (hereinafter, PDU) online shopping is convenient and easy. Please take a little time to ensure you are ordering the correct sizes. Get a great fitting Evening Dress by taking accurate measurements. To ensure you are ordering the correct size always wear the appropriate under garments when measuring. If you are unsure or would like assistance, please call or email PDU, we will be happy to help. Our merchandise is thoroughly inspected to make sure top quality dresses are sent to our customers.
What is our return policy
  • Made-to-Measure dresses are NOT returnable.
  • Standard size dresses can be returned and exchanged if eligible.
All of our dresses are handmade by PDU’s distributor’s own factory according to PDU’s customer sizes. Most of the time, when dresses do not fit, it is because the wrong size was ordered. Please make sure you carefully read our size chart and measure carefully before ordering!
Return Policy
Returned dresses must be in original condition
All returned dresses must be in original condition, without damages, stains and/or alterations. Each dress must have all original tags attached and be sent in original packaging materials. A restocking fee of $25.00 for each Standard Size dress plus the related shipping fee will be charged on all returned items.


Dresses with snags, rips, make-up stains, odors (i.e. cigarette smoke) or other damage do not qualify for return, and will be sent back to you. If you do not accept the dress that is returned to you, PDU will charge you fifty percent (50%) of the cost of the dress plus shipping charges.
Exchange, Return and/or Refund is as easy as1-2-3
Step 1: Initiate the Return/Exchange request:
  • Customers must contact PDU within three (3) Days (including weekends and holidays) from receipt of your dress (receipt date is the delivery date according to the carrier) and let PDU know what the problem is. In many cases, problems can be solved before you send the dress back.
  • If a return is needed, PDU will send you an Authorization Number and Return/Exchange Form.
Step 2: Prepare for returning the merchandise:
  • Fill out the Return/Exchange Form and send it to PDU with your dress.
  • Your returning package will be inspected upon arriving at PDU’s distributor’s office. Refunds and/or Exchanges will be processed from that point.
  • PDU refuses to accept packages that do not include the Authorization Number and Return/Exchange Form.
Step 3: Ship the dress you want to return to us:
  • Dresses must have originals tags attached and be in original packaging.
  • The returning address is available on the Return/Exchange form.
  • Returned packages must be postmarked within seven (7) days of receipt (receipt date is the delivery date according to the carrier).
  • Return packages must have a valid Authorization Number on the exterior and a completed Return/Exchange Form must be enclosed on the inside of the package.
  • Any dress returned to PDU that is postmarked after seven (7) days of your receipt of delivery date (receipt date is the delivery date according to the carrier) and/or missing a return Authorization Number will not be accepted by PDU and will be returned to you at your expense.
  • When returning a dress, be sure to use a shipping service that can be tracked. It is also recommended that you insure your package. Keeping your shipping paperwork is always helpful.
  • After PDU receives your returned dress PDU will notify you by e-mail to acknowledge that your returned dress has been received. Therefore, please check your e-mail often as PDU sometimes need your instructions and responses.
HOW IS YOUR REFUND ISSUED?
All returns will be credited to the original form of payment (i.e. credit to the same credit card you used to place your order, or a refund check from PDU if you paid by check or Money Order). Please allow one to two weeks from the date we receive your return for your account to be credited and 1 to 2 billing cycles for the credit to appear on your credit card or bank statement.
Changes to PDU’s Return Policy
If PDU decides to change PDU’s Return Policy, PDU will post the changes on these pages and update the Privacy Policy modification date below. It is your responsibility and obligation to review this policy from time to time for any such changes.
